The Elementary School Library was conceived as more than a space for books—it was envisioned as a place where imagination, creativity, and future possibilities begin. Designed for students from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, the project reimagines the traditional library as a vibrant educational environment that transforms learning into an experience. Through the thoughtful integration of color, natural light, playful forms, and flexible learning spaces, the design creates an atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, collaboration, and discovery. Every reading nook, gathering area, and interactive space was carefully crafted to inspire young minds and foster a lifelong connection to learning.

Beyond its educational mission, the project carries a deeper story of community and legacy. Named in honor of Ignacio Miranda, the great-grandfather of Lin-Manuel Miranda, the library reflects a shared commitment to investing in the future of Vega Alta through spaces that promote opportunity, imagination, and growth. Developed in collaboration with Camera Mundi, Inc., the project demonstrates how architecture can enrich educational experiences while strengthening community identity. More than a library, it stands as a place where learning, storytelling, and design come together to inspire future generations.
